Preorders
As you can see From Scratch is now taking preorders. The preorder bar includes cost of printing, paying Jose for his time and buying a barcode. Jose and I will be signing and sketching in all the books preordered and this is the only time to grantee you’ll get both of us to sign it. Joe won’t be at most of the cons I’m selling it at so it will be hard to grab him. Also, for the preorders only all shipping (including over seas) is free. So you’re highly encouraged to buy em.

Hello hello,
Last week I got the first proof of Sorcery 101 and the colors were a tad dull. So I did some color correction and a new proof is on it’s way. The book is so close I can taste it. It’s delicious. Also, on my end From Scratch is officially done. It is all uploaded and lettered. I’m awaiting a quote from the printer than I’ll start taking preorders.
Now that the business is all out of the way, I’d like to share with you all a book I just finished called The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything by Ken Robinson. The book talks about how everyone has that one thing that combines what they love to do with what they are good at. It also discusses what things might be getting in the way of your element and how certain things can help immensely.
Listening to it was extremely inspiring, because it’s mostly stories about individuals finding something they truly love. It also talks about luck and making your own luck. And it’s not just related to the arts. There are people interviewed for the book that talk about Math or billiards or astronomy they way I personally feel about comics. There was a part in it where the author mentioned your element is where you find the work for you that is play. It immediately made me think of about a year ago when my mom was watching old home movies. She told me to come out and watch some. I told her “No, I’m working.” Then after some coaxing she got me to go in the other room and see. Little me was on the screen making up stories and my mom was trying to get me downstairs for a something and little me said “No, I’m playing.” I was pretty much doing the same thing at 5 that I’m doing now.
So this book really hit a lot of my buttons because I’ve felt similar things to what is talked about in the book. I even got a bit choked up during the part about mentors. So I encourage you all to go pick it up. Maybe it will help you find you or see your own element.

Hi there folks,
Just wanted to let you know the book is at the printer. I should be getting a proof fairly soon. Once I’ve received the Sorcery 101 books I’m gonna start taking preorders for From Scratch. Jose has finished drawing it and if you preorder you’ll get a sketch on the inside covers from both of us (We talked it over, I’d be doing on in the front cover and Jose will be taking the back cover.) That will be an only for preorders offer. Also, since From Scratch is black and white it will be much much cheaper than the Sorcery 101 book.
I’ve also been busy busy working on Sorcery 101’s next chapter. I have everything set up so that you will get extra updates in April. Also, cast will be back up soon. I’m trying to get the cast to be a drop down so you can click which comic cast page to go to. Don’t worry I won’t leaving it blank for super crazy long.
Also, hey look blanklabel add me to their page!

Greeting one and all,
This is gonna be a big year for Sorcery 101. It’s my first year out of school and I can devote all of my energies to this site. February is nearing an end and I’ve set the ground work for some decent future plans on how to movie Sorcery 101 forward. The book is at the printer. From Scratch is actually super close to also having a book so expect that in print soon as well. (Goal is to have it by SDCC.) I’m also planning to try and increase readership this year, by well A LOT.
Now, on my end I’m planning to put a lot more money into my advertising budget and once I’ve gathered the cash you’lll be seeing Danny’s face popping up A LOT on project Wonderful ads. I’m also gonna call as many comicbooks shops I can and ask if they’d be interested in buying Sorcery101’s first book at a wholesale print so they can sell it in their store. But I’d also like your help. In April I’ll be updating 4 times a week. Regardless, of the donation bar to the left of this post you’ll get updates on Thursday. That will be my thank you to anyone who takes part in the following. This link right here is for a Sorcery 101 flyer. It is the one I personally us at cons. I’d like you to print a stack of these out and ask if you can hang them up at your school, local comic shop, your work break room, your local library, etc. Basically, anywhere you think might have someone interested. If you’re a member of your schools Anime club or gaming group hand them out there.
Thanks a bunch.
Now back to the grind stone.
