Hello hello,

Last week I got the first proof of Sorcery 101 and the colors were a tad dull. So I did some color correction and a new proof is on it’s way. The book is so close I can taste it. It’s delicious. Also, on my end From Scratch is officially done. It is all uploaded and lettered. I’m awaiting a quote from the printer than I’ll start taking preorders.

Now that the business is all out of the way, I’d like to share with you all a book I just finished called The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything by Ken Robinson. The book talks about how everyone has that one thing that combines what they love to do with what they are good at. It also discusses what things might be getting in the way of your element and how certain things can help immensely.

Listening to it was extremely inspiring, because it’s mostly stories about individuals finding something they truly love. It also talks about luck and making your own luck. And it’s not just related to the arts. There are people interviewed for the book that talk about Math or billiards or astronomy they way I personally feel about comics. There was a part in it where the author mentioned your element is where you find the work for you that is play. It immediately made me think of about a year ago when my mom was watching old home movies. She told me to come out and watch some. I told her “No, I’m working.” Then after some coaxing she got me to go in the other room and see. Little me was on the screen making up stories and my mom was trying to get me downstairs for a something and little me said “No, I’m playing.” I was pretty much doing the same thing at 5 that I’m doing now.

So this book really hit a lot of my buttons because I’ve felt similar things to what is talked about in the book. I even got a bit choked up during the part about mentors. So I encourage you all to go pick it up. Maybe it will help you find you or see your own element.

Hi – The RSS feed for Sorcery 101 dried up in January. By chance I found out today that you’re still making them.

So I added the new RSS feed. But, hey, if you move the feed again, please put up a notice in BIG RED LETTERS before doing so, or we’ll lose you.

    Thanks for the comic!

I think I have it figured out on LJ

Like the title says, Facebook says it takes up to 3 hours for it to show up there, and I know twitter works already. So it’s just tomorrow check if the facebook one works.

Syncing stuff up

I’m trying to make it so Sorcery 101’s RSS feed pops up on Twitter, Facebook, and Livejournal. So I think I got it working but I don’t want the whole comic to pop up in Livejournal, just a link. So see if it all pops up in LJ and Facebook or if I made the settings right and at the most there is a thumbnail, least case there is just a link. So here is a fun picture.

Danny’s on fire.
