Promise to the Reader
Sorcery 101 is a dramedy that has a modern fantasy setting. It will always remain that. What this means is for one, the characters will talk a lot and the plot will move at a fairly slow pace. It also means they will be making jokes and making fools of themselves along the way. While there is some action in most of the story arcs, it is limited and usually will take a long time to get there. This also means that THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN EVEN BALAENCE OF HUMOR AND DRAMA. If one story arc is ever heavy on one of those elements, the next story arc will be heavy on the other to put the balance back in place. It will always remain that way.
Sorcery 101 will also for the most part only show things that can be shown on basic cable. The exception being for the amount of swearing in the comic and for the rules cable TV has when showing gays. This means that things will never get gorier than a scene with where a snake demon is killed in the second story arc and any nudity will have a strategically placed object or panel cut. So you do not have to worry about seeing any tits, pussy, or dicks in Sorcery 101. However, there are going to be sexual scenes where you will know exactly what the characters are doing even though you can not see any private parts. Most of these characters are adults and do adult things.
I also promise Sorcery 101 will always update Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (and possibly more if donations are good that week). I do each comic a month in advanced to make sure that even if I have a family crisis or I am terribly sick, you will get a comic. You will also always get a new sketch every Sunday and also as long as I have a question for him to answer, there will be an Ask Danny strip on Saturdays. I will also put forth my best effort into the strips. There will be no lazy artist days where the comic is done in stick figures. I will also do my best to fix typos in the comic before they go up. However, I am only human and I am one who happens to have dyslexia so spelling errors are in there. Whenever, possible though I grab my roommate and have her read through the strip before it goes up. They are sadly still in there though and for that I am sorry.
I will also listen to any feedback you might offer as long as it is presented in a polite, constructive manner. I have given my readers many options on how to give this feedback, whether it is through livejournal, one of the forums, AIM, or email. I am listening and always trying to better myself. So as long as you’re polite your opinion is welcome.
Thank you for reading. Please enjoy Sorcery 101.
